Present - a Friendship Weekend to celebrate 50 years of West Midlands Police!

From Friday 17^th to Sunday 19^th May 2024

We are delighted to welcome IPA members, partners and families to Birmingham in May 2024 for our next Friendship Weekend.  After the success of the last weekend we held in 2019, we have arranged another event to host IPA members and guests from across the world.

There are various activities that people can attend, so a variety of tickets are available.  

UK IPA Members tickets are subsidised by £10.00 (not partners or family members - who will pay the full ticket price).

Friday evening reception with buffet/drinks at Tally Ho Sports and Social Club
Saturday visit to the Black Country Living Museum and Dudley Canals and Caverns
Saturday evening event at Moseley Rugby Club with hot buffet and the Pop Voices choir

The above prices do NOT include your travel to or from Birmingham, nor your accommodation.

Once you have booked, we can send you details of various suitable hotels and accommodation in Birmingham.

We suggest that guests arrive in Birmingham during the morning, or early afternoon on Friday 17th May 2024 (unless you wish to travel on Thursday 16th for an extra night) - you can then enjoy exploring the city centre before joining other IPA members for the Friendship Weekend activities on Friday evening.

New Friendship Weekend - May 2024

Dear IPA friends,

 I am contacting you to update you on plans for the Birmingham and West Midland IPA Friendship Weekend between 17^th-19^th May 2024.

We are proposing a range of activities including a welcome reception at West Midlands Police Headquarters, visits to the Black Country Museum with Canal trip, a guided walk and visit to the West Midlands Police Museum at Steelhouse Lane, Cadbury World, an evening with the Pop Voice Choir at Moseley Rugby Club and many other options for our members and visitors to enjoy.

 As a Committee we are really hoping that our members will get involved in the weekend and volunteer to support some of the activities, whether this is meeting and greeting

visitors at the airport/train stations, helping run some of the events, or just attending and making some new friends.

 Please put the dates in your diary, we will keep you updated as the plans develop; and please contact Helen Preece or myself if you would like to get involved.
